SATURN | |||

This was my first image of Saturn. It was absolutely amazing seeing Saturn on my laptop. The hardest part of obtaining the image was getting Saturn to line up on the CCD chip. Prior to fitting the webcam to the telescope I accurately aligned the finderscope using a high power eyepiece and X4 barlow. Turning the gain up high helped with locating the planet. My son Luke helped me and was really excited when we both saw Saturn for the first time. Technical details: Tal-2m + Philips TouCam Pro and Tal X2 Barlow. 300 frames stacked. Seeing 8/10 cold. |
