|Technical details: Tal-2m + Philips TouCam Pro and Tal X2 Barlow + Baader IRB filter. 300 frames captured K3CCDTools. Brightness 75%, Gain 0%, 1/33sec, Gamma 0 - 220 frames stacked using RegistaxV2.0 LRGB Image resized X2 and wavelet filtering 1,1,1,1,10,32 applied.
It's amazing how fast Mars is receeding. It is already .54AU (81 million km) distant and measures only 17.20 arcsecs in diameter. The South Polar Cap has also just about disappeared. You can also see that the phase of the planet is starting to reduce on the lefthand side compared with the righthand side before opposition. Conditions for taking this image were terrible.
