JUPITER
9th April 2006 - 02:35
This was my first attempt at Jupiter using my MN56 telescope and X3 Barlow. Jupiter is not very well placed in 2006 and from UK latitudes remains fairly low in the sky. This image was grabbed at the end of a long night of imaging - I captured one 3 minute Avi without paying too much attention to focus or settings. The result was better than I had expected. Technical details: MN56 + Philips TouCam Pro + Baader IRB filter + X3 Barlow. 900 frames captured - Best 600 stacked using Registax. Some final processing using wavelet adjustment. Gamma 0, Saturation 50%.
