During the capture of this image Europa (one of Jupiter's large satellites) was in transit across the planet. It should be positioned in the central band region just to the North East of the GRS. The fact that it can't be seen in the image is probably due to a combination of my telescope collimation, the seeing conditions and poor focus of the webcam. Technical details: Tal-2m + Philips TouCam Pro and Tal X2 Barlow. 150 frames captured - Best 100 stacked using Registax. Some final processing using wavelet adjustment 1,1,1,14,22,43 Seeing 7/10 |
