IC 434 - THE CRAB NEBULA

This is an LRGB of The Crab Nebula. It was taken using SC3 at prime of MN56 with Astronomik Type II RGB filters. I used an Astronomik CLS filter for the L component. Total Exposure was 40 X 60 Secs for L and 8 X 60 Secs for R,G,B. Gain was 100% and AmpOff was used. Guiding was via a Toucam SC1.5 through WO ZS66. The use of the CLS filter and colour really enhances the image compared to my previous best attempt. The image was captured on 11th December 2006 at 23:15 from Bromley, Kent.
